I tend to get ahead of myself and buy some things long before I need them. These two garbage cans hold my two most valuable Saab items at the moment. I know this isn&#8217;t related to the MC850 but I just had to show it. I definitely got ahead of myself here because I am having doubts about even restoring the 64. I just got a little too excited for my own good. This block is for the MC850 project, should I ever make it that far. To prevent rust in both cans, I added a 1\/4&#8243; foam sealing strip on the lid underside, and there is a small night light hanging in each can to keep the interior slightly warmer than the ambient temperature. And, just in case moisture finds its way in, there are several desiccant packets in each can.<\/p>\n<p style=\"clear:both;\"><div id=\"attachment_64\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/gtyurkon.com\/MC850\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014_0218_04_MC850_RebuiltCrank.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-64\" src=\"http:\/\/gtyurkon.com\/MC850\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014_0218_04_MC850_RebuiltCrank-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Rebuilt MC850 Crank\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-64\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtyurkon.com\/MC850\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014_0218_04_MC850_RebuiltCrank-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gtyurkon.com\/MC850\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/2014_0218_04_MC850_RebuiltCrank.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-64\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rebuilt MC850 Crank<\/p><\/div>Of course, no block is any good without a matching crank. Inside the sealed plastic bag is the MC850 crank, also rebuilt by David Baugher. I would have opened it for the photo because it&#8217;s absolutely gorgeous, but I don&#8217;t want moisture to have a crack at it.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, I got a little ahead of myself here.
